Job Title: Customer Service and Operations Manager – Full Container Load (FCL) Drayage
Location: Ventura, CA
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee FCL drayage brokerage Operations and Customer Service staff
- Respond in a timely manner to a high volume of communications daily
- Organize workflow/set priorities/monitor activity/ensure completion of work
- Act as escalation “point of contact” for customers and vendor concerns and opportunities
- Manage/assign workflow for operations staff, ensuring coverage for all time zones in the Continental US
- Work closely with staff to ensure operational questions are answered timely and procedures are optimized
- Create/Evaluate exception reports to notate delays/issues and improve operational efficiency
- Design/implement process control procedures – modifying existing procedures where necessary
- Coordinate/oversee various projects throughout operational teams
- Serve as backup as required due to workload/absence
- Research/recommend solutions on recurring issues within operational groups
- Review work for accuracy and ensure client specifications are met
- Support team efforts to coordinate shipments per customer specifications and minimize costs as if they were our own
- Work with management to ensure alignment with company strategy in forecasting and business plans
- Articulate a value proposition to secure FCL Drayage business
- Recommend changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments
- Monitor industry trends and how key factors impact business strategies for our company and our customers
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience
- Excellent customer service, communication (both verbal & written), problem solving and negotiation skills are required
- Ability to build and maintain a strong network of vendors

Job Title: Inside Sales Support Representative
Location: Ventura, CA
Job Responsibilities:
- Research potential leads from business directories, web searches, and digital resources
- Qualify leads from digital campaigns, conferences, references, tradeshows, etc.
- Present and deliver information to potential clients
- Answer potential client questions and follow-up call questions
- Track weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance and sales metrics
- Build pipelines with channel partners and team members to close sales
- Maintain database (Salesforce, CRM, Excel, etc.) of prospective client information
- Close sales and work with client through closing process
- Cold call/email potential client to promote Xenon and/or identify decision makers
- Understand client needs and offer solutions and support
- Work with management to ensure alignment with company strategy in forecasting and business plans
- Recommend changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments
- Monitor industry trends and how key factors impact business strategies for our company and our customers
- When needed due to volume peaks or staff coverage, assist the Operations team in managing customer shipments and requests
Job Requirements:
- 2+ years of recent experience within the transportation industry, preferably with an NVOCC/Freight Forwarder or FCL drayage carrier; or previous experience in outbound call center, inside sales experience, or related experience preferred
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) and CRM/Salesforce experience preferred
- Excellent customer service, communication (both verbal & written), problem solving and negotiation skills are required
- Ability to perform in a high speed, deadline-driven environment with rapidly changing priorities
- High degree of initiative and independent execution
- Comfortable making cold calls and talking to new people all day

Job Title: FCL Drayage Customer Service and Dispatch Representative
Location: Ventura, CA
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate shipment for customer per their specifications and minimizing costs as if they were our own
- Closely monitor shipments, always striving towards defect free service to our customers
- Immediately advise customers of any variances including additional charges, revised dates/times, and updated requirements
- Communicate with network of drayage carriers to cover loads, send rate sheets, dispatch load assignments and assist drivers with routing and other needs or questions
- Monitor carrier movement from shipper to receiver to ensure load is picked up/delivered on time and in the intended condition
- Ensure timely update of shipment milestones, whether updated directly by our vendor or updated by our company on our vendors’ their behalf
- Request and audit all necessary shipping and carrier documents
- Respond to high volume of communications daily
- Work with management to ensure alignment with company strategy in forecasting and business plans
